"Draven fashions an enjoyable
Chinese ghost thriller that creates a nice creepy atmosphere
and delivers solid scares along the way. CG ghost effects, used sparingly, are
quite effective.
Overall, an enjoyable ghost-a-rama!" - Videoscope
Magazine
"A genuinely creepy and slick-looking tale." - MJ Simpson, U.K. Film Journalist
"A very worthwhile ghost
story... In many ways, the production of Ghost Month after a
string of gorier monster/slasher flicks reminds me of John Carpenter directing
the old-fashioned
ghost yarn The Fog (1980) after having practically invented the American slasher
movie
with Halloween (1978). After all, shock is easy. But dread? That’s hard."

SYNOPSIS
Writer/Director Danny Draven takes the helm for this supernaturally driven shocker about an unassuming
housekeeper drawn into a terrifying world of vengeful apparitions. According to the Chinese calendar, the seventh month
of every year marks the time when the restless spirits of the dead break free from the gates of hell to mix among the mortals.
During this time, specific rules must be followed to avoid falling prey to the spirits of the damned.
When a solitude-seeking housekeeper arrives at the desert home of a superstitious Chinese woman and her devoutly religious aunt,
death senses an opportunity to extend its grip into the mortal realm. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
